We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Orthopaedic Surgeon

Location: Mowe, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care:

  • Diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
  • Perform surgical procedures, including but not limited to joint replacements, arthroscopy, and fracture repair.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and diagnoses.

Patient Management:

  • Consult with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to policy development.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, health and safety regulations, and medical ethics guidelines.

Teaching and Mentorship:

  • Provide training and mentorship to junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare staff.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay current with advancements in orthopedic surgery.

Research and Development:

  • Engage in clinical research to contribute to the advancement of orthopedic knowledge and practices.
  • Implement evidence-based practices and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Medical Degree and board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Valid license to practice in Nigeria.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures.
  • Excellent diagnostic, surgical, and patient management skills.
