As part of its continued commitment to strengthening local organizations working with survivors of conflict-related sexual violence, GRA is implementing a capacity-building project funded by the Global Survivors Fund (GSF).
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Organizational Management Training Consultant
Location: Maiduguri, Borno
Employment Type: Contract (in-person)
Duration: 5 Days (including planning, training delivery, and reporting)
Reports to: Project Manager / Admin & HR Lead

Background
- The project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Women and Children Conflict Survivors Foundation (WCCSF), a grassroots organization supporting women and child survivors of conflict in Nigeria.
- The focus of this intervention is to enhance WCCSF’s organizational management, leadership, and strategic development capacity for improved service delivery and sustainability.
- To this end, GRA is seeking to engage a qualified and experienced Training Consultant to design and deliver a practical, interactive, and contextually relevant Organizational Management Training package.
- The training will support WCCSF’s leadership and staff in strengthening internal systems, promoting effective team coordination, and fostering long-term institutional growth.
Purpose of the Consultancy
- The overall purpose of this consultancy is to deliver a targeted training program that improves the organization’s internal systems and individual competencies in core areas of organizational management, fostering stronger teamwork, effective leadership, and institutional growth.
Scope of Work
The Consultant will:
- Conduct a brief training assessment (Pre-Test) in consultation with management
- Develop a training work plan and co-create learning modules
- Deliver in-person training sessions for one day to selected staff in Maiduguri
- Apply adult learning techniques, group activities, role plays, and real-life scenarios
- Ensure the use of gender-responsive facilitation methods and demonstrate experience working in women-led or gender-focused environments
- Provide training materials, handouts, and post-training evaluation tools
- Submit a detailed training report, including lessons learned and recommendations.
Expected Training Topics
Topics may include (but are not limited to):
- Organizational leadership and governance
- Team building and conflict resolution
- Strategic planning and organizational effectiveness
- Human resources and staff performance management
- Time management, delegation, and productivity
- Accountability, ethics, and safeguarding
- Change management and adaptive leadership.
Note: Final topics will be tailored based on needs assessment and input from GRA management.

Consultant Profile and Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in capacity building or institutional strengthening, preferably within the NGO sector
- Proven ability to facilitate practical, interactive training workshops for diverse teams
- Strong understanding of nonprofit operations, donor compliance, and internal control systems
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and report writing skills
- Familiarity with the Northeast Nigerian context and fluency in English (Hausa or Kanuri is an added advantage).
Duration and Location:
- Total consultancy period: 5 working days
- Training location: Maiduguri, Borno State.
Reporting and Coordination:
- The Consultant will report directly to the Project Manager, with support from the Admin & HR Unit.
Ethical Considerations:
- The Consultant must adhere to GRA’s policies on safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality. All activities must be conducted with respect for cultural and gender sensitivities.
Payment Terms
- 50% upon successful delivery of training
- 50% upon submission and acceptance of final report
- Payment will be made upon presentation of approved invoices and deliverables.
