Job Title: Operations Manager

Summary
- We are seeking to recruit an Operations Manager with extensive experience inlast-mile delivery services and strong capabilities in data analysis and process optimization.
Job Objective
- To provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization by overseeing core business functions such as logistics, distribution, and customer service.
- The OM is responsible for translating the company’s vision into actionable plans, ensuring operational excellence, driving process optimization, enhancing productivity, and aligning cross-functional initiatives to deliver sustainable growth and a superior customer experience.
What you will be doing
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans, policies, and initiatives aligned with the company’s overall objectives and goals.
- Lead and manage all operational functions within the country, including supply chain management, logistics, distribution and customer service.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with business objectives and priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness across all areas of the business.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor operational performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in all operational activities.
- Develop and nurture a high-performing and engaged operational team, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Identify opportunities for expansion, growth, and optimization within the country, and develop strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and gain a competitive advantage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, partners, and regulatory authorities, to support operational objectives and business success.
- Prepare and present regular reports, updates, and analyses on operational performance, trends, and opportunities to senior management and directors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing operations in a complex and dynamic business environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and execute operational plans and initiatives to achieve business objectives.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower teams to achieve high performance and results.
- Deep understanding of operational processes, systems, and technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive change, manage complexity, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.
- Strong business acumen and financial literacy, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all business dealings.
Salary
N250,000 – N350,000 monthly.
