We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Night Manager / Night Auditor / Internal Auditor
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Guest Services & Front Office Operations:
- Welcome and assist late-arriving guests with check-in/check-out procedures.
- Resolve guest complaints and ensure overall guest satisfaction during night hours.
- Manage room inventory and handle overbookings, relocations, or VIP arrangements.
- Maintain a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.
Night Audit & Financial Reporting:
- Reconcile and balance daily financial transactions for all departments.
- Run and verify end-of-day reports (e.g., room revenue, cash/credit card payments, folios).
- Post room charges, taxes, and other adjustments.
- Prepare the daily summary report for management (e.g., occupancy, revenue, incidents).
- Ensure all accounts and ledgers are accurate and updated before handing over to the morning team.
Safety & Security:
- Monitor hotel premises and ensure guest safety throughout the night.
- Coordinate emergency procedures if needed (fire, medical, guest incidents).
- Maintain logs for security rounds, incident reports, and key control.
Team Coordination:
- Supervise and support night staff, including security, housekeeping, and front desk team.
- Ensure all shift duties are completed and standards are upheld.
- Communicate effectively with the morning team and complete shift handover.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:Â A degree in Accounting, Finance orHospitality Management.
- Experience: 3+ years in front office operations or night audit in a hotel environment.
Skills:
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) – e.g., Opera, Hotelman etc.
- Basic accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage crises calmly.
- Other: Availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
