Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday to Friday)
Job Description
- As the Network Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining computer networks and solving any problems that may occur with them.
- Duties include installing and configuring networks, ensuring security, and providing support to users.
- The goal is to ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for users.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Perform regular network performance tuning, upgrades, and system backups.
- Implement and maintain network security measures (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, access controls).
- Provide technical support to internal users and train staff on system usage.
- Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and other essential network services.
- Document network problems and resolutions for future reference.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers as needed.
- Maintain inventory and asset tracking of all network-related hardware.
- Stay current with networking technologies and make recommendations for system improvements.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network equipment.
- Proficiency with firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Linux server environments.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
Preferred Certifications (optional but desirable):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- CompTIA Network+
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate.

- Salary Range: N200,000 / month
