Job Description
- We’re hiring a Machine Wig Sewing Supervisor to lead our wig production team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial wig sewing, with expertise in closures, frontals, and lace wigs.
- You’ll ensure precision craftsmanship, optimize machine workflows, and uphold our quality standards while training junior sewers. Leadership, technical mastery, and a keen eye for detail are critical for this role.
- As a Machine Wig Sewing Supervisor, you’ll oversee the entire wig assembly process—from sewing wefts to securing lace—using industrial machines.
- You’ll enforce quality control, troubleshoot production issues, and drive efficiency while mentoring your team. Your work will directly impact the flawless finish of our ReXI™ Lab Made Hair products.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Supervision:
- Lead daily wig sewing operations, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines for wefting, lace attachment, and cap construction.
- Train and mentor junior sewers in techniques like tension adjustment, lace alignment, and knot sealing.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect wigs at each stage (seams, density, hairlines) to meet premium standards.
- Develop QC protocols to minimize defects and optimize consistency.
- Document quality reports and collaborate with R&D to refine processes.
Leadership & Compliance:
- Enforce safety and hygiene standards in the sewing workspace.
- Manage inventory of hair, lace, and sewing supplies.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and propose efficiency upgrades.
Requirements
- 5+ years of machine wig sewing experience (closures, frontals, HD lace).
- Mastery of industrial sewing machines (Juki, Singer, etc.) and wig-making tools.
- Proven ability to train teams and maintain high productivity.
- Obsessive attention to detail (e.g., no puckering, undetectable hairlines).
- Knowledge of global wig trends and technical demands (Nigerian/western markets).
- Leadership skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in high-volume wig production.
- Certification in wig-making or cosmetology (a plus, not mandatory).
Salary
N150,000 – N200,000 per month.
