We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Microbiology Officer
Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
The Purpose
- To assist and support the Microbiologist in ensuring water and products are safe and wholesome for consumption and within NIS standards.
Duties
- Samples collection from different locations.
- Media preparation and sterilization.
- Cleaning of glassware and sterilization.
- Perform water analysis.
- Analysis of raw materials, intermediate and finished products.
- General laboratory hygiene maintenance and equipment cleaning.
- Maintains accurate logbooks and complete documentation as required.
- Develop and maintain validation in all protocols for various environmental controls.
- Perform tests on component samples, identify any contamination, and initiate corrective measures.
- Assist in the maintenance of GMP and food safety culture.
Qualifications
- BSc / HND / B.Eng in Civil Engineering.
- COREN, NSE, and PMP will be an added advantage.
- 5 years’ experience post-professional qualification.
The Person Must:
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.
- Excellent skills in lab testing and analysis.
- Possess good use of equipment for culturing and physio-chemical analysis of water.
- Must have good housekeeping skills.
- Be able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
