Job Summary
- The Sales Merchandiser is responsible for optimizing the presence and performance of products in retail stores.
- This role involves creating and maintaining attractive product displays, managing inventory, and fostering strong relationships with store personnel to drive sales and meet merchandising objectives.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Â Ensure that stores and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products
- Â Develop and implement effective product displays and promotional setups in retail locations
- Â Monitor sales performance and inventory levels, making adjustments to displays and stock as needed
- Â Regularly update displays to reflect current promotions, seasonal themes, or new product launches
- Â Build and maintain positive relationships with store managers and staff to facilitate effective product placement and promotions
- Â Complete and submit regular reports on merchandising activities, sales performance, and inventory status
- Â Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction and effective product representation
Requirements
- Â Minimum of OND in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Â Previous experience in merchandising, retail sales, or a similar role is preferred
- Â Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills
- Â Ability to lift and move products, set up displays, and stand for extended period
- Â Familiarity with the local market and customer base is advantageous
- Â Up-to-date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
