Job Summary
- We are looking for a skilled Medical Secretary to manage administrative tasks, provide support to medical staff and patients, and ensure efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and manage cancellations/rescheduling
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointments, treatments, and instructions
- Maintain and update patient electronic health records (EHRs)
- Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information (HIPAA compliance)
- Prepare and manage documents (medical histories, discharge summaries, etc.)
- Develop effective working relationships with the medical team
- Promote quality and cost-effective interventions and outcomes
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and payment processing
- Ensure the office environment is organized and runs smoothly
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related Healthcare field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Medical Secretary or similar administrative role
- Experience working with EHRs, databases, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of medical coding, medical office procedures, regulations, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Salary
N130,000 monthly.
