Job Description
- The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing medical care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, and implementing treatment plans for patients.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medicine, excellent clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conducting medical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests, X-rays, and MRIs.
- Prescribing medications and other treatments as necessary.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Providing counselling and education to patients about their health conditions and treatment options.
- Monitoring patients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and treatment strategies.
- Adhering to all relevant medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS)
- 3 – 4years experience as a Medical officer
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Good interpersonal skills, and must have a good rapport with people.
- Have the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Proactive approach and capable of working on own initiative.
- Ability and flexibility to deal with pressure and deadlines.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records.
- Willingness to stay updated on developments in the field of medicine through continuing education and professional development activities.
Salary
N450,000 Monthly
