Job Description
- Job openings for a Medical Officer with an outstanding medical knowledge and excellent counseling skills.
- The Job holder may refer to a specialist/consultant when they need further diagnosis or treatmentÂ
Responsibilities
- Respond to patient’s medical problems by referring to their history.
- Participate in all treatment and preventative health care services as delegated and agreed upon the supervising medical DirectorÂ
- Maintaining accurate documentation using EMR
- Interview Patients , take medical histories, perform physical examination, analyze,diagnose, and explain medical problems during consultation, interpret results under the supervision of the medical Director and referral, where necessary.
- Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times.
- Explaining procedures or prescribed treatment to patientsÂ
- Liaising with other medical professionals in the hospital.
- Formulate and diagnosed treatment plans, in consultation with or referring to supervising Doctors as appropriate.
- Give clinical instruction to other clinical teams as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Medicine from an accredited University.
- Candidate should posses an MBSS qualification with 13 years experienceÂ
- Compulsory completion of Nysc
- The candidate should have Uptodate registration and license to practice medicine from the MDCN(Nigerian Medical and Dental Council Associations)
- Knowledge of general medicine
- Computer literacyÂ
- Excellent communication skillsÂ
- Fantastic counseling and listening skillsÂ
- Good organizational and time management skills.
