Position Summary
- As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare system by assisting in conducting a wide range of laboratory tests, interpreting results, and providing accurate and timely diagnostic information to healthcare providers.
- Your role involves assisting to operate laboratory equipment, following established protocols and quality control measures, and maintaining laboratory safety standards
Job Description
- Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
- Monitoring, reporting, recording changes and escalating critical values in patient laboratory results.
- Storing and setting up laboratory equipment
- Collecting samples: Collecting blood, tissue, and other samples from patients
- Preparing samples: Labelling and preparing samples for testing
- Running tests: Performing routine tests and analyzing samples
- Recording data: Recording test data and results in patients’ medical records
- Operating equipment: Using and maintaining laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and cell counters
- Reporting results: Discussing results and findings with physicians or supervisors
- Ensuring quality control: Maintaining quality control of samples and adhering to laboratory standards
- Testing for drug levels: Testing for drug levels in the blood
- Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory facilities and workspaces.
- Assist with the development and validation of laboratory methods, procedures, and protocols.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights and privacy.

- Participate in continuing education and professional development
- Adhere strictly to CAREONE’s ethical standards, medical protocols, SOPs, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by Medical Lab Scientist, Clinic Manager etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, clinical laboratory science, or a related field
- 2-3years of industry/clinical experience
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT)
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation used in clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, and other laboratory disciplines.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other healthcare software applications
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail in specimen and sample handling.
