Job Description
- Responsible for welding metal components together in accordance with specifications and engineering drawings.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
- Utilize various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join metals effectively.
- Conduct thorough inspections of welded pieces to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding equipment to ensure it operates at peak efficiency.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions to welding challenges.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to create a safe work environment.
- Keep precise records of work completed, materials used, and timesheets.
- Participate in training and workshops to enhance welding skills and knowledge.
- Assist in planning and executing repair work on welding machinery and structural components.
Requirements
- HND / OND / Trade Test in Welding Engineering or a related field
- 2 – 5 years of welding experience in an industrial setting
- Proficient in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc)
- Strong understanding of welding codes and standards
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
