Job Description
- The Mechanical Vulcanizer will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of conveyor belts and related equipment in the plant.
- This role involves working with various types of rubber and synthetic materials to ensure that the integrity of conveyor systems is maintained.
Key Responsibilities include
- Repair and maintain conveyor belts and other vulcanized products.
- Inspect belts for wear, damage, and other issues, and perform necessary repairs.
- Perform hot and cold vulcanization of conveyor belts to ensure optimal performance.
- Cut and prepare materials for vulcanization.
- Use tools and equipment necessary for vulcanization processes, ensuring safety and work standards are adhered to.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on vulcanizer equipment.
- Document report findings, repairs made, and any repairs needed for the future.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to address mechanical issues.
- Participate in training and safety meetings as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical vulcanization or a related field.
- Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in vulcanization techniques for rubber and synthetic materials.
- Strong understanding of conveyor systems and their maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in maintenance operations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
