Job Title: Mechanical Shift Engineer (Excavator, Tipper, Payloader)
Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Job Summary
- The Mechanical Shift Engineer will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of heavy equipment and machinery used in mining operations, including tippers, excavators., payloaders and mine trucks
- This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of mining activities by minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring that all machinery is in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing of mining equipment such as tippers, excavators, payloaders mine truck and other heavy machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in mining equipment.
- Ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on equipment to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
- Use a variety of maintenance tools and equipment, including wrenches, diagnostic devices, and other specialized tools for heavy machinery.
Requirements
- Candidate should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proven 3 – 5 years experience as a mechanic, specifically in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and machinery used in mining (tippers, excavators, etc.).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems related to mining machinery.
- Proficiency in the use of maintenance and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to weld is an added advantage.
