Job Description
- A Mechanical Engineer in a Structural Mill is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining equipment and machinery used in the production of steel or other metals.
Responsibilities
Here are some key responsibilities and skills associated with this position:
- Design and develop new equipment and machinery, as well as modify existing ones
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve equipment issues
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing productivity
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies
- Manage projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Skills
- Relevant technical certifications or Degrees (e.g., mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering)
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials science, and structural analysis
- Experience with manufacturing processes, including rolling, casting, and machining.
