Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have a robust background in the planning, setup, and commissioning of power generation systems, specifically focusing on natural gas-fired power generation and associated distribution networks.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing operations and maintenance activities to ensure reliability, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, set up, and commissioned power generation systems with a minimum capacity of 10 MW, focusing on natural gas operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the setup and commissioning of CNG Daughter stations and Waste Heat Recovery Boiler (WHRB) systems.
  • Manage operations and maintenance of natural gas-fired power generation systems with a capacity of at least 10 MW, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of 33kV/11kV/415V underground power distribution systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Supervise operations of CNG daughter stations and WHRB systems, enhancing efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain comprehensive logbook records of all operations and maintenance activities conducted during shifts.
  • Implement emergency response procedures and safety protocols to effectively handle emergency conditions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with overall plant operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance regarding Jenbacher engines, including operation and maintenance practices.
  • Utilize SCADA systems to monitor and control mechanical processes, ensuring efficient operational performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the operations and maintenance of natural gas-fired power generation systems (minimum 10 MW capacity).
  • At least 5 years of experience with underground power distribution systems (33kV/11kV/415V).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the operation of CNG daughter stations and WHRB systems.
  • Familiarity with Jenbacher engine operation and maintenance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and their application in mechanical operations is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
