We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Mechanical Assistant

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipments.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of SINOTRUK HOWO Cargo 6×6, Forklifts, Jig Cranes, LMVs, Trucks, and MMUs (Mobile Manufacturing Units).
  • Maintain and operate various pumps, including:
    • Centrifugal Pumps, Magnetic Centrifugal Pumps, Helical Screw Pumps, Gear Pumps.
    • Helical Screw Pumps with Hydraulic Motor Drives (Make – Roto Pumps Ltd.).
  • Repair, service, and calibrate valves, including:
    • Wafer Ball Valves (Manual), 3-way Ball Valves with Actuators, and Disc Check Valves.
    • Gear-Operated Butterfly Valves, Piston Valves (Socket Weld), and Actuated Piston ON-OFF Valves.
    • Ball Float Steam Traps.

Instrument Maintenance:

  • Calibrate and maintain instruments such as:
    • Mass Flow Meters, Magnetic Flow Meters, Oval Gear Flow Meters.
    • pH Indicators and Monitors, Pressure and Temperature Transmitters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute.
  • Trade certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is advantageous.
  • Additional certifications in hydraulic systems, pump maintenance, or actuated valve.
  • 3 – 5 years experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
