Job Title: Manager, Stock Control – Fuel

Job Function
- Responsible for managing the inventory of fuel, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adequate supply levels.
- This role involves overseeing inventory levels, ordering supplies, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with various departments to meet operational needs.
- The Inventory Specialist will report directly to the Procurement &Inventory Manager and play a crucial role in supporting the organization’s logistical and operational functions.
Key Performance Areas
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and prevent stockout or overstock.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of fuel.
Ordering and Replenishment:
- Order fuel based on inventory levels, usage patterns, and forecasted demand.
- Communicate inventory status, issues, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the inventory control policies and procedures are followed 100%.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of fuel inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Utilize inventory management software to track and update inventory data.
Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with workshop, operations, and procurement departments to understand inventory needs and priorities.
- Communicate inventory status, issues, and updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the inventory control policies and procedures are followed 100%.
Quality Control:
- Ensure incoming fuel are inspected for quantity, quality and compliance with specifications.
- Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage and deterioration.
- Ensure quality control standards and practices are adhered to.
Efficiency and Optmisation:
- Identify opportunities to optimize inventory processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure best practices for inventory management and control are adhered to.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory efficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies regarding the handling and storage of fuel.
- Ensured clean, organized, and safe inventory storage areas are maintained for fuel.
- Conduct regular on-site safety inspections and address any identified hazards.
Requirements
Qualifications Required:
- Graduate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or any other related courses.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification experience.
- Inventory management experience.
- Inventory planning and forecasting.
- Customer relationship management.
