Job Title: Manager, Product Management

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • Leads a team of product managers to achieve key business objectives.

Responsibilities
Team Leadership

  • Leads a team of product managers
  • Accountable for the performance and results of direct reports

Responsible for:

  • The performance management of team members, including disciplinary actions and hire/fire recommendations
  • GPS process, including assessments and Total Rewards allocations of direct reports’ talent development, including quarterly conversations, career pathways conversations and individual development/growth plans
  • Models the Equinix Culture and Values

Product Interlock

  • Coordinates with cross-functional teams to ensure Product Management is effective

Product Strategy

  • Develops innovative approaches to scale our product offerings

Product P&L

  • Accountable for the product line(s) performance

Product GTM & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Proactively engages with stakeholders to support in creating alignment with the product roadmap to achieve product lifecycle objectives

Product Development and Positioning

  • Mentors their team in developing products that resonate with customers
  • Evangelises their products/product lines

Product / Domain Expertise

  • Builds product line(s) expertise and engages regularly with customers and internal teams to explain the product line(s)

Resource and Budget Management

  • Works closely with Marketing Managers and Project Managers to track resource allocation and utilisation for assigned projects
  • Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from his/her manager
  • Request approvals for additional expenses outside of the approved budget/headcount
  • Communicates budget estimates and ensures the team executes assigned projects within approved budgets
  • Manages and/or escalates issues, as needed

Process/Policies/Standards

  • Creates/refines efficient processes, standards, and policies
  • Monitors violations and designs a remediation plan to ensure adherence

Qualifications

  • Proven years of experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
