Job Summary
- Join Dangote Group as a Manager, Mechanical Operations, where you will play a vital role in overseeing and optimizing the mechanical operations of our cement manufacturing plants.
- In this role, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment operate efficiently and reliably.
- Your strong leadership skills and technical expertise will be crucial in driving operational excellence, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the mechanical operations of cement plants, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all machinery and equipment.
- Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues swiftly and effectively.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address any inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations in all mechanical operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and implement technological advancements.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 18 years of professional experience in mechanical operations within the cement or manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated experience in a managerial role leading engineering teams.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and operations in a cement plant.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
