Core Responsibilities
Planning Maintenance Activities:
- Develop detailed work plans for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Determine the necessary resources, including labor, materials, tools, and equipment.
- Estimate job durations and costs.
- Create work orders with clear instructions and specifications.
Scheduling Maintenance Activities:
- Develop and maintain maintenance schedules, balancing preventive maintenance with reactive repairs.
- Prioritize work orders based on urgency and criticality.
- Coordinate with operations and production to minimize downtime.
- Schedule resources effectively to maximize productivity.
Materials and Inventory Management:
- Ensure that necessary parts and materials are available when needed.
- Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with the storeroom.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and data.

Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and efficiency.

Typical Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Typically, a engineering degree or relevant experience in a maintenance environment.
- Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of maintenance principles and practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in using CMMS software, SAP PM.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of equipment and systems relevant to the industry.
