VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Grow Strong Foundation (GSF) is a child-focused women and youth-led non-profit organization established in 2017. We empower vulnerable communities in Northeast Nigeria through peacebuilding, education, protection, and healthcare initiatives. We advocate for the inclusion of young people and individuals with disabilities in social protection, peacebuilding, and community development, tackling the challenges of insurgency in the region.

  • Position: Logistics Officer
  • Location: GSF HQ, Oversee field offices in the BAY State.
  • Contract: 12 months
  • Reporting to: Admin & Finance Manager
  • Salary: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000 NGN (depending on experience)
  • Date of Resumption: As soon as possible
  • Closing Date of Application: January 20, 2024

About the Role:

This crucial role plays a vital role in ensuring efficient logistics and supply chain management for GSF’s operations. You will manage procurement, warehousing, and vehicle maintenance, ensuring timely delivery of materials and smooth project execution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement:
  2. Manage purchase orders for materials and subcontractor labor.
  3. Monitor procurement and delivery of materials and services
  4. Collaborate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and product availability.
  5. Communicate pricing and availability to Program Staff.
  6. Manage project material costs against estimated budgets.
  7. Store Management:
  8. Track material deliveries, collect and store all documents efficiently.
  9. Assist with material cost estimates and change orders.
  10. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  11. Procuring specialty materials as needed.
  12. Manage vehicle movement, tracking, and receiving of project materials.
  13. Maintain store organization and cleanliness.
  14. Vehicle Maintenance:
  15. Ensure GSF fleet vehicles meet safety standards.
  16. Schedule and coordinate vehicle maintenance and service.
  17. Keep vehicles clean and fueled.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
