  • In this role, your primary objective will be to support ICT operations across Routing & Switching Data Centers, and to assist in the execution of ICT projects.

Responsibilities
As a LAN-WAN Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and supporting comprehensive network LAN, WAN, wireless and security solutions that meet requirements and integrate into the overall Obijackson Group network and security architecture.
  • Evaluating current network and security systems to propose and implement network system enhancements on Network Switches, Routers, Internet Firewall Services, VPN and other Network Management devices – Defines, designs and implements network and security solutions.
  • Creating and maintaining standard builds/templates and apply advanced network and security engineering and architecture knowledge on complex and diverse problems
  • Participating in IT network infrastructure project design, reviews and ensuring network architecture goals and requirements are met and aligned with business objectives.
  • Working with internal customers and service providers to design, implement and support networks
  • Assessing vendor development/test strategies for various network domain projects.
  • Performing network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
  • Deploying both bare metal systems and virtual cloud services.
  • Supporting and collaborating on the development, implementation and administration of processes and procedures to ensure reliability
  • Developing network and security documentation, including diagrams and work instructions, test plans, implementation plans, and project timelines for various projects.
  • Writing functional requirements/specifications documents.
  • Demonstrated confidence with the ability to present and have conversations
  • Establishing best practices through collaboration with IT Security and IT Infrastructure Operations
  • Collaborating with IT Security and Service Delivery toward compliance and auditing
  • The ability to maintain and foster sensitivity and respect for a culturally diverse work environment.
  • Ability to travel

Requirements
What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience 
  • Cisco CCNA Required CCNP Good to have certifications.  Information technology certifications such as MCP, ITIL
  • 1 to 3 years of progressive experience in computer network design and support
  • Knowledge and experience working with network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, SSH, VPNs), IP routing protocols including RIP, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS. Network Switching Required
  • Understands service providers, TCP/IP data networks.
  • Knowledge of IPv4 is must.
  • Proven ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex, changing workloads in a challenging technical environment
