Job Title: Light Vehicle Mechanic

Locations: Agadagba-Obon, Ese-Odo Local Government Area – Ondo and Niger
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • We are seeking an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults in light vehicles, ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose and repair faults in light vehicles, including engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Inspect vehicles to identify any defects or damage, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
  • Test and Road Vehicles: Test and road vehicles to ensure that all repairs have been carried out correctly and that the vehicle is safe to drive.
  • Maintain Workshop Equipment: Maintain workshop equipment and tools, ensuring that they are in good working order and calibrated correctly.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support to other mechanics and apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve overall workshop performance.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health and safety procedures and environmental policies.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience as a light vehicle mechanic, preferably in a dealership or reputable workshop.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of diagnostic equipment and software, including scan tools and manufacturer-specific systems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment, with frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Salary
N100,000 – N120,000 monthly.
