Job Title: Learning & Development Coordinator

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Summary

  • The Learning & Development Coordinator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills and organizational effectiveness.
  • The L&D cordinator will alsocoordinate training activities, assess learning needs, and ensure the delivery of high-quality training sessions alignswith GUS Training Centre’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and development opportunities.
  • Develop, organize, and facilitate training programs, workshops, and seminars for staff and clients.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and training materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
  • Maintain training records and prepare reports on training activities and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand current and future training needs.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate innovative training methods.
  • Support the development of training content and materials, both digital and print.
  • Assist in the onboarding process by delivering orientation programs for new employees.
  • Promote a learning culture within the organization to encourage continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 4 – 7 years of experience in training and development, preferably in Oil & Gas / Marine sectors
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and training software.
  • Ability to assess training needs and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Creativity and adaptability in training delivery.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Certification in Training and Development is a plus.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
  • Passion for learning and professional growth.
