Job Title: Laboratory Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

  • As our Laboratory Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the materials testing laboratory.
  • This includes supervising the laboratory team, ensuring all tests and procedures comply with industry standards, and maintaining high-quality output.
  • The role involves developing and implementing testing protocols, overseeing equipment maintenance, and ensuring accurate and timely data reporting to support construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.
  • Liaise with project management teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for material utilization.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to laboratory equipment and testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction laboratory environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software for materials testing.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 / month.
