Job Summary
The Key Accounts Executive will be responsible for the development and maintenance of strategic business partnerships at the wholesale and key accounts levels of our distribution network. This role will involve employing strategies that ensure the effective and efficient support of the sales team by maintaining the optimal availability of DKT products across Nigeria, whenever and wherever they are needed.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management:
- Oversee Key Accounts/Wholesale customers in the assigned territory, ensuring optimal distribution and sales performance.
In-Store Engagement:
- Conduct regular in-store visits to highlight DKT product benefits, organize training, and deliver presentations as needed.
Product Listing and Visibility:
- Ensure DKT products are listed, prominently displayed, and merchandised according to planograms and marketing guidelines.
Supervision of Merchandisers:
- Supervise a team of merchandisers to ensure compliance with DKT product marketing plans and clear execution of their roles and responsibilities.
Inventory and Ordering Management:
- Monitor inventory levels at all customer locations, facilitate ordering processes, and ensure adherence to payment terms.
- Track product expiry dates and ensure products are moving at a sufficient pace to avoid returns.
New Business Development:
- Identify and develop new Wholesale and Key Accounts based on DKT’s criteria, proposing growth opportunities.
Promotional Material Utilization:
- Ensure optimal use of DKT’s marketing materials (brochures, display stands and banners) and implement targeted trade promotions tboost sales and customer engagement.
Sales Target Achievement:
- Ensure that all Wholesale and Key Account customers meet their monthly sales targets in terms of both value and volume.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, mutually beneficial business relationships with all Wholesale and Key Accounts customers tensure continued success and collaboration.
Conduct Market Research:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis tstay informed about industry trends, customer preferences, and growth opportunities.
Qualification / Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Medical Sciences, or a related field is required.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Sales Representative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for a customer-focused environment.
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage pressure with a keen eye for detail.
- Results and target achievement-oriented.
