Job Title: Junior Welding Inspector

Reports to: Production Manager/Department Supervisor
Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and skilled Welding and Fabrication Foreman to join our production team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of welders and fabricators, ensuring that all projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of welders and fabricators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that all team members are working safely and efficiently.
- Project Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate welding and fabrication projects, including reviewingu blueprints and specifications, estimating materials and labor requirements, and scheduling work.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all welding and fabrication work meets quality standards, including inspecting work, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions.
- Safety Management: Ensure that all welding and fabrication work is performed safely, including implementing safety procedures, conducting safety training, and enforcing safety regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all welding and fabrication equipment is properly maintained, including performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and scheduling repairs.
Requirements
- Metallurgical Engineer, B.Eng, HND
- Trade Qualification: Hold a recognized trade qualification in welding and fabrication, such as a certificate or diploma in welding and fabrication or a related field.
- Experience: Have at least 5 years of experience in welding and fabrication, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Nice to Have:
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI): Hold a CWI certification, demonstrating expertise in welding inspection and testing.
Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 Monthly.
