They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Maintenance Technician – Engine

Location: Offshore, Port-Harcourt, Rivers (FPSO)
Employment Type: Full Time
Line Manager: SMTE (Engine) & SMTP (Plant)
Rotation: 4 Weeks on/off

Job Summary

  • The JMTE will assist senior technicians in maintaining and repairing engines, performing routine diagnostics, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, while documenting findings and maintaining tools. 

Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities:

  • MCR or Engine watches as required by the MSUP.
  • Machinery operation, maintenance, bunkering, and other technical and safety work as required by the MSUP or SMTE.

Special Responsibilities:

  • To be fully familiar with rules, regulations and work procedures applicable to the assigned task or to be executed under his responsibility.
  • Responsible for the routine surveillance of equipment and installations specifically assigned to him.
  • Responsible for carrying out routine safety checks on equipment as required by the MSUP.
  • Be familiar with the PTW System.

Certfifcate Training:

  • Officer in Charge of an engineering watch unlimited certificate, STCW 95 – Ref. III/1.

Professional Qualifications

  • Must have completed combined workshop skills training and an approved seagoing service of not less than 12 months as part of an approved training programme which includes onboard training that meets the requirement of section A-III/1 of the STCW Code and is documented in an approved training record book, or otherwise have completed combined workshop skills training and an approved seagoing service of not less than 36 months of which not less than 30 months shall be seagoing service in the engine department;
  • Must have performed in the capacity of a 3rd Engineer on tanker vessels, during the required seagoing service, engine room watch-keeping duties under the supervision of the chief engineer or a qualified engineer officer for a period of not less than 6 months.
  • Experience on FSO or FPSO is an added advantage.
  • Have completed approved education and training and meets the standards of competence specified in section A-III/1 of the STCW code.
  • Meet the standard of competence specified in section A-VI/1 paragraph 2, section A-VI/2 paragraphs 1 to 4, section A-VI/3 paragraphs 1 to 4 and section A-VI/4 paragraphs 1 to 3 of the STCW Code.
  • Very good English written and spoken.
