Job Title: Janitorial Operations Supervisor – Healthcare Facility

Summary

  • FlexEdge is currently recruiting experienced Janitorial Operations Supervisor to ensure high-quality janitorial services are consistently delivered at the assigned hospital, while effectively managing all janitorial staff and maintaining a professional relationship with hospital management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of all janitorial personnel at the hospital.
  • Prepare staff duty rosters and ensure shift compliance.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and grooming standards.
  • Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance evaluations.
  • Address staff grievances and resolve conflicts in collaboration with HR.
  • Conduct regular inspections of hospital wards, offices, toilets, and public areas to ensure high cleaning standards are maintained.
  • Implement checklists and cleaning protocols in line with healthcare hygiene standards.
  • Report and escalate maintenance or sanitation issues promptly.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the janitorial company and the hospital’s administrative/operations team.
  • Attend scheduled meetings with hospital management to review performance, address concerns, and suggest improvements.
  • Communicate client feedback to management and ensure prompt follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and infection control standards applicable to healthcare cleaning.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of staff schedules, inventory, complaints, and incident reports.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to company management on staff performance, issues, and improvements.
  • Track usage of cleaning materials and request replenishments in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
  • Prevent wastage and promote cost-effective operations.
  • Coordinate cleaning response to emergency situations such as biohazard spills, patient discharge, or high-traffic sanitation.
  • Ensure team readiness to support any special requests or hospital directives.

Basic Requirements

  • OND / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in any field (a background in environmental science, public health, or facility management is an advantage).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising janitorial or cleaning operations (healthcare setting preferred).
  • Proven leadership, people management, and client service skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare sanitation standards and infection control procedures.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and shifts, if required.
