Job Title: IT Support Engineer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a proactive and tech-savvy IT Support Officer to join our team.
  • This entry-level role is ideal for a motivated individual with 1-2 years of experience in IT support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Provide basic technical support to employees, both in-person and remotely, to resolve IT-related issues.
  • Monitor and respond to IT service requests in a timely manner.
  • Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities in hardware, physical, software, and logical environments to enhance overall system security.
  • Support data backup processes and Active Directory functions to ensure data integrity, recovery, security, and seamless user authentication.
  • Maintain records of IT assets, software licenses, and manage IT consumables.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of Microsoft Office 365 and other applications (e.g., Odoo ERP, NMS).
  • Conduct basic training for employees on IT systems and best practices.
  • Assist in network troubleshooting, conference room setup and basic system administration tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience as an IT support Engineer/Officer.
  • Good knowledge of computer systems, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, security practices, and cloud platforms is an advantage.
