About the role
- As an Integration Support Engineer on the Monnify team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and successful integration of our payment gateway by our merchants.Â
- You will be the primary point of contact for technical inquiries, providing expert guidance, troubleshooting issues, and empowering our users to leverage the full potential of Monnify’s APIs and SDKs.Â
- Your strong technical foundation, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills will be key to fostering positive relationships with our clients and contributing to their success.
Responsibilities
What you’ll get to do:
- Provide timely and effective technical support to merchants integrating with the Monnify platform via various channels (e.g., email, phone, chat).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot integration issues across the front-end and back-end, utilizing your understanding of web technologies and software development principles.
- Guide merchants through the integration process, providing clear and concise instructions, code examples, and best practices.
- Reproduce and document merchant-reported issues, working closely with the Engineering team to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Utilize your knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) to understand and resolve client-side integration challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Product, Engineering) to escalate complex issues, provide feedback on product usability, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our platform and documentation.
- Develop and maintain internal knowledge base articles, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides to empower both merchants and internal support teams.
- Proactively identify potential integration roadblocks and provide preventative guidance to merchants.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Monnify features, API updates, and industry best practices.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, we think you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Solid understanding of fundamental Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software development methodologies.
- Experience writing and debugging server-side code in Node.js and/or PHP.
- Excellent proficiency in core web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems and provide step-by-step solutions.
- Strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping others succeed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
