Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a skilled Instrumentation Engineer with hands-on experience in the installation, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of industrial instrumentation systems.
  • The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of PLC systems, process controls, sensors, actuators, and other automation components critical to industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, calibrate, and maintain various industrial instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot faults in control systems including PLCs, sensors, transmitters, and actuators.
  • Interpret and create technical drawings, loop diagrams, and P&IDs.
  • Ensure proper integration of instruments with PLCs, DCS, and SCADA systems.
  • Support commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, calibration reports, and system documentation.
  • Work closely with the electrical and mechanical teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support during shutdowns, startups, and emergencies.

Key Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in an industrial environment (e.g., oil & gas, manufacturing, power, or process industries).
  • Strong knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with industrial sensors, actuators, control valves, transmitters.
  • Good understanding of industrial communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiar with safety standards and hazardous area equipment (ATEX, IECEx preferred).
  • Experience with SCADA/HMI systems.
  • Knowledge of calibration procedures and using calibrators (e.g., Fluke).
  • Familiarity with automation and instrumentation in specific sectors like oil & gas, water treatment, manufacturing.
