Job Title: In-House Legal Advisor
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description
- The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal support, ensure regulatory compliance, and protect our business interests, particularly concerning our estates in Ibeju Lekki and Ajah. Frequent travel to these locations will be required.
Responsibilities
- Draft and review all legal documents related to real estate transactions, including agreements, contracts, MOUs, SLAs, and letters of award.
- Conduct legal due diligence on all relevant documents to identify and address any legal issues.
- Ensure adherence to all regulations governing real estate transactions and operations, including local legislation and industry standards
- Negotiate terms with contractors, customers, joint venture partners, and governmental entities.
- Provide legal guidance to internal stakeholders on real estate matters, such as property development, zoning, and land use.
- Assist in developing and implementing company policies and procedures related to real estate operations.
- Draft and standardize legal documents such as Title transfer deeds, Agreements of sale, Lease Deeds, and conveyance documents.
- Manage legal correspondence and provide in-depth legal opinions on various issues.
- Conduct legal research, monitor legal and regulatory changes, and provide timely updates and analysis.
- Maintain an up-to-date contract schedule and ensure solid relationships with external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and agents.
Person Specification
- LLB and B.L degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with a strong background in real estate law.
- Demonstrated knowledge of corporate and commercial law
- Experience interfacing with law enforcement agencies and managing litigation.
- Excellent communication, research, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize, handle high volumes of work, plan effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a professional demeanor.
- Diplomatic, tactful, discreet, flexible, resourceful, and dependable.
- Ability to travel frequently to Ibeju Lekki and Ajah as required.
