Job Summary
- We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Junior In-House Counsel to support our legal and compliance operations.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate with 2 – 3 years experience to gain in-house legal experience in a food manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing contracts and internal policies
- Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with Nigerian corporate, labor, and manufacturing laws.
- Prepare and review SOP’s as required
- Conduct legal research and prepare memos, opinions, and reports on relevant legal issues.
- Support the management of legal documents, filings, and case files.
- Help coordinate responses to audits, compliance checks, or litigation matters.
- Attend internal meetings and provide basic legal advice to departments as required.
Qualifications / Experience
- LL.B. and B.L.from a recognized Nigerian university and the Nigerian Law School.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a commercial lawyer.
- 1–2 years post-call experiencein a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian corporate and labor laws.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong sense of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
