Job Summary
You will provide service in the day-to-day delivery of responsive, effective, and efficient ICT support activities in support of the Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. You will provide consistent and high-quality service and contribute to the proper stewardship of resources to help ensure operational effectiveness in support of high-quality programming.
Roles And Key Responsibilities
- Provide support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for equipment and systems including: Windows workstations, Android devices, Cisco networking gear, Microsoft Office Suite, enterprise backup software Veeam, and assets like printers, scanners, AV devices utilized by staff
- Maintain inventory lists, network diagrams, issue/remedy knowledge base, and technical documentation on supported systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, ensuring optimal functionality and performance.
- Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and network components as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues with Cisco Meraki devices including Meraki Routers, switches, and Access points.
- Provide technical support to end-users regarding hardware and network issues .
- Provide technical support to the supply chain unit in the procurement of hardware and network items.
- Manage and oversee Computer hardware installations, updates, and licenses, in the Maiduguri office and other field locations.
- Develop and maintain an inventory system for hardware and software assets, with monthly update report on the state of the inventory to the ICT manager, and Maiduguri head of office.
- Implement best practices for software deployment and inventory management.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate technology into development initiatives effectively.
- Evaluate and implement innovative ICT tools to improve project efficiency and outcomes.
- Train and support staff in utilizing ICT tools for development purposes.
- Leverage on the ServiceNow platform as a tool to provide technical support to users within the agency.
- Contribute technical expertise in leveraging ICT for climate action initiatives.
- Implement and support ICT solutions aimed at addressing environmental challenges.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to integrate technology into climate change projects.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends related to climate action and sustainability .
Required Languages – English and any other major Nigerian language.
Travel – Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% to CRS’s field offices within the Northeast.

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft certified Systems Administrator, Cisco Certified Network Professional, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional, Oracle database administrator.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Possession of technical certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ is preferred. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- At least 4 years’ experience in computer hardware, networking, software management, and inventory control, and ICT service support
- Knowledge of ICT tools for development projects and climate action initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
- Basic knowledge in VSAT and Meraki devices configuration and management.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
