Description
- As the Human Resources Manager for Dangote Cement Transport, you will be a crucial part of our operations, responsible for overseeing all aspects of Human Resources management within the transport division.
- The role demands a strategic thinker with practical HR experience, skilled in managing a large workforce effectively.
- In this position, you will develop and implement HR strategies that align with the overarching goals of Dangote Cement Transport.
- You will collaborate with the management team to ensure compliance with labor laws, facilitate recruitment processes, enhance employee engagement, and implement training and development programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies that reflect the operational objectives of Dangote Cement Transport.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain skilled drivers and logistics personnel.
- Manage performance appraisal systems and career development plans.
- Address employee grievances, fostering a positive work environment.
- Coordinate training programs and maintain employee records.
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations and company policies.
- Support management in developing staffing strategies to meet the operational needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, or similar) is an advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a transport or logistics environment preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and best practices related to recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and HR metrics.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
