Job Summary

  • Bracken Media Solutions is looking out for aHR Managerwith strong recruitment and headhunting experience, especially in fast-paced or startup environments.
  • If you’ve set up HR systems before and know how to build teams from the ground up, this is for you!

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Head Hunting:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment: job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Develop recruitment strategies for both creative and technical roles.
  • Source passive candidates using LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and creative headhunting techniques.
  • Build a strong employer brand and pipeline for future roles.

HR Structure & Operations:

  • Design and implement foundational HR processes and documentation
  • Set up and manage performance management systems, OKRs, and KPIs.
  • Monitor and improve onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle experience.

Employee Relations & Engagement:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive work culture aligned with Bracken’s values.
  • Provide guidance to department heads and team leads on people-related issues.
  • Manage conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary processes with empathy and fairness.

Organizational Development:

  • Advise management on workforce planning, org structure, and change management.
  • Drive initiatives around training, employee development, and internal mobility.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws and HR best practices.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree
  • 5+ years HR experience (2+ in a managerial role)
  • Professional HR certification (e.g.,CIPM, SHRM, HRCI)
  • Proven recruitment/headhunting skills
  • Experience setting up HR structure in a startup
  • Solid understanding of Nigerian labor laws
  • Great people skills & decision-making abilities
  • Bonus if you’ve worked in media, tech, or creative industries.
