ANRML was incorporated in 2012 as part of African Industries Group’s plan to embark on Backward Integration for its Steel Production. ANRML started its foray into Mining with the acquisition of Mining Lease in Kaduna State. Subsequently ANRML has also acquired multiple Mining and Exploration licenses in various minerals in over 15 sites and exploration activities are being carried out.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer
Location: Gujeni Village, Kagarko LGA – Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose of the Job
- To further ANRML’s commitment to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance by implementing health safety and environment objectives and compliance with local regulatory requirements, to prevent injury and maintain a safe working environment.
Job Responsibilities
- To design, implement and communicate the HSE management system to meet OHSAS ISO 45001: 2018 requirements and ISO 14001:2015 requirements.
- To prioritize and provide advice promptly on OHSAS 18001 standards.
- To advise on HSE trends and indicators.
- Develop programs and plans to achieve OHS objectives.
- To develop, implement, execute, and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, and environmental incidences and achieve annual targets set by management for HSE performance.
- To supervise the plant’s Health, Safety, and Environment program. Facilitate internal audits of the safety management systems.
Job Requirements
- Minimum: B.Sc. / HND in Engineering or Environmental Sciences, and Occupational Health and Safety or other related courses.
- Must have HSE Certifications (up to level 3)
- 3 years of HSE work experience in Mining, Construction, Manufacturing and other field work.
- Muslim is required for work balance.
- Professional courses, and membership in the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) will be an advantage.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have excellent critical thinking and a high level of numeracy abilities.
- Have strong leadership and motivational skills with the drive and focus to deliver results through teams.
Remuneration
N90,000 – N100,000 Monthly.
