Job Title: Head, Production Unit

Job Summary
- Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day production activities and ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans aligned with business goals and customer demands.
- Create detailed production schedules, considering resource availability, lead times, and production capacity.
- Implement quality control procedures and monitor product quality metrics to identify and address issues.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Assess and manage production resources including raw materials, equipment, manpower, and budget.
- Lead and motivate a team of production personnel, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Develop and manage production budgets, tracking expenses against targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement process improvements to optimize production costs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to optimize production efficiency.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies to drive innovation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management or related field.
- Proven 5 years work experience as a Head of Production or Senior Level Production Staff especially in the water products space.
- Proven managerial or supervisory experience.
- Detailed knowledge of production operations.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise as well as production ethics.
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes.Strong management and leadership skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Impressive organisation and efficiency skills. Multitasking and time-management skills.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.
