Job Title: Head of Resources Mobilisation
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The Head of Resource mobilization will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and partners, and managing fundraising activities to support MMF’s mission and programs.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy:
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to secure funding for MMF’s projects and initiatives in alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to engage donors, raise awareness about MMF’s work, and generate financial support.
- Collaborate with the communications and marketing team to develop fundraising materials, donor communications, and campaigns that effectively communicate the impact of MMF’s programs.
- Analyze fundraising data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts, track progress toward fundraising goals, and identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Work closely with the finance and program teams to ensure alignment between fundraising activities, program budgets, and financial sustainability.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of fundraising professionals to achieve fundraising targets and objectives
- Must set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Donor and Partner Relationship:
- Engage with individual donors, corporations, foundations, government agencies, and other potential funding sources.
- Build and nurture strong relationships to create a diverse funding base for MMF.
- Understand the unique interests and motivations of each donor or partner, and tailor communication and engagement strategies to match their preference
- Highlight our mission, achievements, and the positive impact of the donors/ partners and their contributions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Nonprofit Management, Banking, Fundraising) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in fundraising, marketing, resource mobilisation, development, or related roles within the banking sector and nonprofit sector.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully securing funding from diverse funding sources, including individual donors, corporations, foundations, and government agencies.
- Experience in managing fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives from planning to execution and evaluation.
- Proficiency in fundraising software, donor management systems, and tools to support fundraising activities and donor relationship management.
