TAAS Group of School is a school made up of Nursery, Primary and Secondary school. The school’s academic programme is divided into two sections: Quran and Arabic section which is handled by specific teachers and the western Educational section handle by different teachers.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Head of Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies Department
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement QAIS curriculum for primary and secondary levels
- Supervise teaching and learning across QAIS subjects
- Oversee Qur’an memorization and Tajweed programs
- Integrate Islamic values across school activities
- Lead and mentor QAIS teaching staff
- Organize training and spiritual development sessions for staff
- Develop and implement student assessments in QAIS
- Monitor student academic and behavioral progress
- Promote Islamic programs and school-wide events
- Supervise student-led religious activities (e.g., Jum’ah)
- Coordinate with school leadership for curriculum alignment
- Maintain academic and administrative documentation
- Communicate regularly with parents on student progress.
Requirements and Skills
- Degree in Islamic Studies, Arabic, or Qur’anic Sciences
- Minimum 3 – 5 years of teaching or leadership experience
- Hafiz/Hafiza with Ijazah (preferred)
- Fluency in Arabic; proficiency in English
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with classical and modern Islamic education
- Experience working with children and adolescents
- Ability to inspire students and staff in an Islamic environment.
