Are you an experienced ICT leader passionate about driving innovation, ensuring data security, and enabling life-changing work for children affected by conflict? War Child Alliance is seeking a visionary Head of ICT to lead our global ICT function and shape the future of technology across our international network.
As Head of ICT, you will manage our ERP and CRM systems, digital workplace, cybersecurity, infrastructure, hardware and software, and program data systems. Your work will directly empower War Child Alliance’s global leadership, country teams, and member organizations to deliver high-impact, evidence-based programs.

As Head of ICT, you will:
- Develop and implement the War Child Alliance ICT strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and resources.
- Oversee the ERP and CRM systems, infrastructure, digital workplace tools, and ICT services across multiple countries.
- Lead cybersecurity planning and incident response, ensuring organizational resilience and building staff capacity in cybersecurity practices.
- Manage organizational data systems, creating dashboards and data flows to support evidence-based decision-making and program quality.
- Lead a team of Business Analysts, Application Specialists, and the IT Support Lead, ensuring high-quality service delivery across all offices.
- Act as a shared service center, providing IT services to War Child member organizations.
- Manage the ICT budget, vendor sourcing, long-term vendor partnerships, and service delivery standards.
- Communicate critical ICT trends, risks, and forecasts to executive stakeholders.
- Promote innovation by staying ahead of technological developments and implementing new technologies where appropriate.
- Champion digitalization of processes and ensure the adoption of high-quality ICT governance practices.
- Support safeguarding practices, ensuring ICT systems are compliant with WCA’s Child Safeguarding policies.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Innovation
- Translate organizational needs into ICT solutions and lead change management processes.
- Identify and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, innovation, and digitalization.
Systems & Data Management
- Oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of reporting systems and standards.
- Lead the creation of program data dashboards and reporting tools for evidence-based decisions.
- Align ICT activities with other departments for synergy and efficiency.
Cybersecurity
- Define, implement, and oversee the organization-wide cybersecurity framework.
- Build staff awareness and capacity in cybersecurity best practices and incident management.
Leadership & People Management
- Ensure proper staffing and professional development within the ICT department.
- Set clear goals, monitor performance, and foster a motivated, efficient team environment.
Vendor Management & Budgeting
- Source vendors, manage long-term partnerships, and ensure contracts support organizational goals.
- Monitor and manage ICT budgets, proactively addressing over- or underspending.
Your profile
You are a forward-thinking, strategic ICT professional who thrives in a global, multicultural environment. You bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to humanitarian values.
What you will bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ICT, Information Science, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of ICT architecture, ERP and CRM systems, and cybersecurity, preferably in an international NGO setting.
- Experience with shared service models and ICT coordination across multiple locations.
- Solid expertise in data platforms, dashboard development, and evidence-based program support.
- Knowledge and experience implementing ICT governance frameworks.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex projects and systems.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Dutch, French, or Arabic is desirable.
- Commitment to War Child Alliance’s safeguarding policies and humanitarian mission.
