Job Title: Head of Finance
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic recommendations to the Managing Director in developing financial plans.
- Summarize the organization’s current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and preparing monthly and yearly financial statements and other reports.
- Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Ensure proper allocation of resources and advice on long-term business and financial planning.
- Ensure deductions and prompt remittance of necessary schedules and various statutory deductions, i.e., VAT, PAYEE, CIT, pension Fund, etc.
- Perform statistical, cost, and financial analysis of financial reports and data, and prepare subsequent narrative analysis for management & investors alike.
- Periodic audit of departmental processes, also interfacing with external auditors.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional departments, ensuring that direct reports are developing on the job.
- Identifying and mitigating financial risks, such as market fluctuations, regulatory changes, and operational challenges.
- Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure liquidity and support ongoing operations and investments.
Requirements
- B.Sc or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
- 10-15 years of extensive experience in financial management, including previous roles as a CFO, VP of Finance, or similar position.
- Knowledge of accounting, state and federal tax law, remittance, and compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software, advanced knowledge of accounting principles, and experience with regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
