Job Title: Head – Financial Planning, Budget and Control

Location: Abuja

Job Description

  • We are recruiting a highly skilled and experienced head of financial planning, budget, and control to join the organization in Abuja, Nigeria.
  • This strategic leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and control processes to drive the hospital’s financial performance and support key business decisions.
  • Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive financial plans and budgets aligned with the hospital’s strategic objectives
  • Direct the financial forecasting and analysis processes to provide accurate projections and insights for executive decision-making
  • Oversee the design and execution of robust financial control systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement
  • Develop and present financial reports and recommendations to the key stakeholders
  • Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Monitor and analyze key financial metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization
  • Ensure adherence to Nigerian financial regulations and reporting standards in all financial activities

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACA, CPA, CFA, or CIMA
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing strategic financial plans and budgets
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and risk management
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and Nigerian financial regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software such as SAP or Oracle Financials
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Outstanding leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive change and implement best practices in financial planning and control
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities
