Job Description

Responsibilities
What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy, aligning with SAO Group’s overall vision and the specific needs of each subsidiary.
  • Identify and secure high-value business opportunities across diverse sectors, driving revenue generation and market expansion.
  • Lead a team of business development professionals, nurturing a results-oriented and collaborative environment.
  • Spearhead the creation of compelling proposals and presentations to win new partnerships and secure lucrative deals.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of the curve and identify emerging trends.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, investors, and industry leaders.

Requirements
Who You Are:

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is a strong plus.
  • A seasoned business development leader with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in driving growth for complex organizations.
  • Proven track record of exceeding business development goals and securing high-impact partnerships.
  • In-depth understanding of financial analysis, market dynamics, and strategic planning principles.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team, build rapport, and negotiate effectively.
  • A keen understanding of the African business landscape and its growth potential (a plus).

Bonus Points:

  • 10+ years experience working within sectors relevant to SAO Group’s subsidiaries (e.g., renewable energy, agriculture, finance).
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and foster inter-departmental collaboration.
  • A data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
