Job Summary
- As Head, Business Development, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing the firm’s growth strategy.
- You will lead efforts to acquire new clients, deepen relationships with existing ones, and expand market share across various investor segments.
- This role demands a proactive and strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the Nigerian financial services landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to grow Assets Under Management (AUM).
- Identify and build relationships with prospective institutional, high-net-worth (HNW), and retail investors.
- Drive client acquisition, onboarding, and retention initiatives in line with the company’s strategic goals.
- Lead business development campaigns, collaborations, sponsorships and client engagement activities.
- Collaborate with investment and product teams to design bespoke, tech-driven investment solutions
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the business development team.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events and with regulatory bodies when required.
Requirements
- A graduate in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or other related fields.
- Possession of post graduate degree and professional qualifications (ACA, ACIB, CFA, ACIS , ACCA etc will be an added advantage.
- 8 – 10 years of progressive experience in business development, preferably within asset management, wealth management, banks and other financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of investment products, finance, capital market dynamics, and client segmentation within Nigeria.
- Proven ability to drive business growth and meet revenue/financial targets.
- Strong leadership skills, networking with experience in managing and growing relationships and high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and result orientation.
- Must be tech- driven person.
