Job Title: Grill Cook
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- seasoning and cooking food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
- Observing and testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
- Weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
- Coordinating the work of kitchen, cook food in various utensils or grillers, check food while cooking to stir or turn.
- Regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen area.
- Restocking kitchen supplies as needed.
- Grilling, cooking, and frying foods such as burgers, steaks, and fries, turning and stirring foods to ensure even cooking.
Requirements
- SSCE / OND.
- Previous experience as a Grill Cook in the hospitality industry.
- Physical stamina and strength to stand for extended periods of time, handle hot grilling equipment, and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Culinary skills and knowledge to understand the methods and techniques of grilling various types of meats and vegetables.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure every dish is cooked to the exact requirements and preferences of each customer.
