Job Description
- We are seeking an exceptional General Manager to lead the Diagnostics Services of our client with the authority and responsibility.

- The General Manager will be the driving force behind our strategic direction, operational excellence, and organizational culture.
- This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance long-term strategic planning with hands-on leadership, ensuring that Sage remains at the cutting edge of diagnostic services while delivering exceptional value to our stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Vision:
- Develop and articulate a compelling vision for Sage future, aligning it with the broader healthcare needs of Nigeria
- Formulate and implement comprehensive strategic plans to drive growth, market penetration, and service diversification
- Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities in the diagnostic and healthcare sectors
- Lead innovation initiatives to keep Sage at the forefront of diagnostic technology and methodologies
Organizational Management:
- Oversee all aspects of the organization’s operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and optimal resource utilization
- Build and lead a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability
- Develop and implement robust organizational structures and processes to support scalable growth
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, service quality, and patient experience.
Financial Stewardship:
- Take full responsibility for the financial performance and health of the organization
- Develop and manage annual budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Identify and secure funding opportunities for expansion and technological upgrades
- Implement financial controls and risk management strategies to ensure longterm sustainability
- Stakeholder Management and External Relations
- Act as the primary liaison with the board of directors, providing regular updates on organizational performance and strategic initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, healthcare partners, government agencies, and community leaders
- Represent Sage Afrilife in high-level negotiations, partnerships, and collaborative ventures
- Serve as the public face of the organization in media engagements, industry conferences, and community events
Market Expansion and Business Development:
- Spearhead market expansion initiatives, including potential new locations or service offerings
- Identify and evaluate strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or acquisition opportunities to accelerate growth
- Develop and implement marketing and branding strategies to enhance Sage Afrilife’s market position and reputation.
Reporting:
- Write and submit reports to the Line Director in all matters of importance as relates to all subtopics above inclusive of a monthly business report.
- Assist Line Director in fundraising ventures
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA from a top-tier institution preferred
- Additional qualifications in healthcare management, finance, or relevant technical fields are advantageous.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience in the healthcare sector, with at least 7 years in a senior executive role (C-suite level preferred)
- Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a healthcare organization, preferably in diagnostics or a related field
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational development in a complex healthcare environment
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian healthcare landscape and regulatory environment.
Work Conditions:
- It is a Full-time position, with occasional evening or weekend work as needed in the office and clinical environment, interaction with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
